Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust
The Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust is proud to support Four Steps to Freedom/Friends of Mbwa Wa Africa by funding a full-time veterinarian's salary through grants awarded in Summer 2023 and Winter 2024.
Trustees have been greatly impressed by the significant and positive contributions this small organisation is making within its local community. Their work includes ensuring the health of rescue animals, training interns and students in small animal care, and offering veterinary services, neutering, and vaccinations for both owned and stray animals through their not-for-profit clinic and outreach initiatives. Notably, their rabies vaccination program has achieved remarkable success, with over 100,000 dogs vaccinated since its launch in 2016.
