Sandra Kliegelhoefer
FOUNDER - Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue
Together with her husband Jens Fissenebert, Sandra founded Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue in 2013 to rescue and re-home animals in the Arusha region of Tanzania.
Since the establishment of Four Steps to Freedom (formerly known as Friends of Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue) in 2015, Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue has acted as the base for our anti-rabies vaccination, spay and neuter programmes in Tanzania.
Sandra is a nurse by profession, with experience working for a German-based animal rescue group. She manages the kennels at Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue; has trained many of the animal handlers there, and her care and passion has saved the lives of many animals in Tanzania.
