Dr Rose Mary Harley OBE
VICE CHAIR
“The wellbeing of dogs in Tanzania is deeply important, but it is the focus on rabies eradication that makes Four Steps to Freedom so special to me. As a dog lover since childhood, and lifelong supporter of African charities, Four Steps to Freedom fulfilled all my criteria for involvement. The very real fear of rabies and the repercussions of being bitten, drives people to acts of great cruelty towards dogs. By confronting the scourge of rabies, Four Steps to Freedom can dramatically improve the lives of both people and dogs."
Rose Mary, a microbiologist with a long career in academia and research, was awarded an OBE for her international aid and charity work. This experience and specialist knowledge has proven invaluable to our strategic and fundraising efforts since she joined our team in 2016.
