COMMITTEE

“The enthusiasm and dedication of Phyllis and the team at Four Steps to Freedom made a big impression on me, and I knew at once that I wanted to help. It was shocking and so disturbing, to learn for the first time, about the problems facing dogs and communities in Tanzania, as a result of rabies.  It means a great deal to me to be able to ensure those communities live without fear of contracting the virus, and helping effect changes in attitudes towards dogs.”

Marlene has been bringing valuable practical and organisational skills to the team since 2017.  Her experience in fundraising and guidance have greatly contributed to the charity’s attempts to maximise the amount of money we can bring in, and also awareness of our cause. She has been a stalwart supporter of Phyllis’s plans to sustain the team in Tanzania, as it attempts eradicate rabies

A retired social worker, Marlene takes great joy in having more time to spend with her grandchildren, and the opportunity to be outdoors, walking with her much-loved dogs.
