Linsey Beck
COMMITTEE MEMBER
“My love of animals was what first drew me to Four Steps to Freedom. I firmly believe that animals deserve the right to be safe and happy, and to live life to the full; this is the mission of Four Steps to Freedom. By providing vaccinations against rabies, they are ensuring that locals will no longer feel threatened by dogs, which are natural carriers. This will happily result in their being safe. However, the team in Arusha also provide education on animal management and care, which we hope will contribute to their being allowed to live a full and happy life.”
A social care professional, Linsey’s natural compassion for people and animals comes to the fore in her tireless efforts to raise funds to support our anti-rabies campaigns in Tanzania. Passionate about our cause, she is motivated by the tangible difference that we make to the attitudes of locals to dogs, and the health benefits thereof that accrue.
When Linsey has time to relax, she enjoys socialising, listening to music and cooking. She is also an excellent baker and produces delicious cakes and pastries to sell at our events.
