Jens Fissenebert
FOUNDER - Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue
Together with his wife Sandra Kliegelhoefer, Jens founded Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue in 2013 to rescue and re-home animals in the Arusha region of Tanzania.
Since the establishment of Four Steps to Freedom (formerly known as Friends of Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue) in 2015, Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue has acted as the base for our anti-rabies vaccination, spay and neuter programmes in Tanzania.
Jens did his apprenticeship as an industrial businessman, working in the logistics department of an international company in Germany. Now – as well as being the best bottle-feeder on the team! – he puts his business skills to good use at Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue, where he is responsible for project co-ordination and back-office support, serving as the key point of liaison with Four Steps to Freedom.
